The Brewers struck first on Sunday, when Goldberg knocked in Dreyer after his 1 out double to right and Johnson held the Iron Pigs in check striking out 2 making it 1-0 after 1 inning. The Brewers then scored again in the 3rd brining home 2 more with a single by Holcombe and a double by Nuss. On the mound Johnson had 2 1-2-3 innings striking out another 3 Iron Pigs. In the 4th, the Iron Pigs made it a 3-1 game with back to back hits off of Johnson. In the 5th, The Brewers scored 2 more with a Dreyer hit and a Goldberg sac fly making it a 5-1 game. Johnson ended his day on the mound after 5 giving up only 1 run, 3 hits, 3 walks and 7 strike outs. The Brewers broke it open in the 6th bringing around 5 more on 4 hits by Nuss, B. Holler, Dreyer and Frieske and brought home another run in the 7th off of a Williams triple and a Holcombe double to make it an 11-1 game. However the Brewres weren't able to take advantage of the 10 run rule giving up 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th to the Iron Pigs off only 1 hit and 4 walks. So the Brewers offense went back at it scoring 2 more in the 8th off of 2 hits by B. Holler and Hartman and scored another 4 in the 9th with hits by Johnson, Nuss and B. Holler and a double by Goldberg giving Johnson his first win of the season 17-4 and improving the Brewers record to 3-2.
