Brewers Spring Winning Streak Ends @ 30 Games

In game 2 on Sunday the Brewers took on the always tuff Charros.  The Brewers struck first in the 2nd after a leadoff single by Morran and a walk by K. Gossage.  Goldberg then drove in the first run of the game with an RBI single to left.  T. Meals then knocked in the 2nd Brewers run with a sac fly.  The Charros answered in the 3rd with 3 runs after a questionable RBI triple that hit a fan, then bounced back into the filed of play off of starting pitcher Vandas.  The Brewers didn't tie it back up until the 5th with a leadoff single by Nuss and an RBI single by POTH Cortez.  Bartlett came in relief for Vandas with a 3-3 tie in the 5th and went 4 strong.  Going in the top of the 9th with the score ties 3-3 the Brewers Goldberg led off the inning with a double, however the Brewers were unable to get the runner home with a pop up sac fly, a strikeout and fly out to short.  In the bottom of the 9th the Charros led off with a double to left off of Bartlett prompting the Brewers to bring in T. Meals to hold the score.  T. Meals struck out the first batter he faced but then gave up an RBI single to right to end it... The inability to get the runs across was the main factor for the Brewer loss, leaving the bases loaded twice with less than 2 outs and leaving 8 runners in scoring position ending the Brewers 30 game winning steak in the Southern Colorado NABA Summer Season.
