In game one the Brewers took on the always competitive Sox at Air Academy H.S. The Sox started off hot with a leadoff triple to center followed by an RBI double. Brewers pitcher Weirt settled down not allowing any more runs in the inning getting 2 ground outs and a K. The Brewers answered when F. Vaughn led off getting hit by a pitch followed by a Cortez single and a 2 RBI Goldberg double with the Brewers scoring 3 in the inning. They scored 3 more in the 2nd off of a 3 run blast by K. Gossage over the right center fence. The Brewers scored another in the 3rd and 3 more in the 4th with the Brewers batting around in the inning with singles by Hartman and Weirt and another Home Run by K. Gossage... this one over the softball batting cages in deep left center. The A's also scored in the 4th making the game 10 to 2with the Brewers only needing 2 more runs to get the win via the 10 run rule in 6 innings. This happened in the 6th when F. Vaughn walked and Goldberg hit a game ending Home Run. Weirt got his first win as a Brewer going 6 strong striking gout 5 and giving up 2 runs.
