The Brewers put on a pitching and hitting display, even though they were missing 5 players this past Sunday. The first 2 inning the Brewers go off to an uncharacteristic slow start, going down 1-2-3 in the first and only scoring 1 in the second after Tyler lead the inning off with a double and 7 Brewers came to the plate. McCann was his usual self on the mound after giving up a leadoff single and a 2 base error allowing the running to get to 3rd. But that was the last time any Bullfrog would reach base. The Brewers offensive barrage started in the 3rd at the top of order with with 12 consecutive reaching base including doubles by J. Vaughn and Nuss and a triples by Vandas and Tyler, more then batting around and scoring 11. The 4th inning brought along more of the same with the Brewers batting around again scoring another 8 event thou the leadoff hitter in inning started it off with a fly out to center. The inning consisted of the next 9 batters reaching base, including 6 straight hits, doubles by Hartman and Behan, and a Grand Slam by Tyler... Capping off his team player of the week award with a cycle and plating is 8th RBI. In the 5, the Brewers added a 3rd inning of batting though the order... this time almost doing in twice in one inning. 13 straight Brewers reaching base and batted around before the first out was recorded. The inning was topped off by Gossage hitting a Grand Slam (his second Grand Slam of the season). At that point the Bullfrogs manager decided to call the game so he could save some arms for their second game of the day. On the mound McCann won his 5 game of the season only having to pitch 4 innings, striking out 6 and only giving up one base-runner.
