UPDATE!!!!! Brewers Take on Iron Pigs at 4PM at Harrison H.S.
The Brewers are set to take on the Iron Pigs on May 20th after a week off for Mothers Day. There will only be 1 game at 4pm at Harrison High School. The Brewers are coming off of a sweep of the Rebels and the Iron Pigs are coming off a sweep of the Front Range Bullfrogs. Brewers Improve to 4-0 with Sweep of Rebels
Game 1

The Brewers moved to 4-0 after sweeping the Rebels (formally the Rockhounds) this past Sunday. The Brewers took game 1 in a tight 10 inning contest 5-4 and Game 2 11-6. The Brewers bats never really caught their groove relying on a solid pitching by the entire staff… With E. McDonough picking up 2 wins on the day.
In game 1, Mark Phillips got the start pitching 6 strong inning giving up 2 runs and striking out 8. E. McDonough picked up the win pitching the final 4 inning striking out 5 and giving up 2 runs. The Rebels came back to take the lead in the bottom of the 7th, until Goldberg tied the game with a solo home run in the 8th and F. Vaughn scored the go ahead run in the 10th by stealing 3rd with 2 outs and scoring when the throw got past the 3rd baseman.
In game 2, McDonough got his 2nd win of the day this time starting the game on the mound going 3 innings giving up 2 earned runs and striking out 3. The rest of the staff combined for a dominating performance with E. Williams striking out 3 in 2 innings, Rucker striking out 4 in 3 innings with no hits and Wirt pitching a clean 9th. At the plate F. Vaughn was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI's and 2 runs, E. Gossage was 2 for 3 with a run scored, Dreyer was 2 for 3 with 3 runs and a double and J. Vaughn was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's and a Home Run.
